Spyn
Last updated 18 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Spyn. Using the app or the site means you accept them. If you do not, do not use Spyn.
You must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it accurate.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, and for serious violations we will do so without warning.
You keep ownership of everything you broadcast, record, upload, clip, or post. Nothing here transfers your copyright.
To actually run the service, we need permission to handle it: you grant Spyn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, encode, reproduce, and transmit your content for the purpose of operating and promoting Spyn. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already distributed to listeners and for backups that age out on their normal schedule.
You are responsible for having the rights to everything you play. Spyn does not grant you any music licence, and holding a Spyn account is not permission to broadcast recordings you do not have the rights to. If you play music, obtaining the necessary licences — performance, mechanical, statutory, or otherwise — is your responsibility, in every territory where your show is heard.
We respond to valid copyright complaints and will remove infringing material. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.
To report a copyright infringement, email support@spyn.fm with the work concerned, where it appears on Spyn, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
Spyn has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You may not broadcast, post, upload, or transmit anything that:
You also may not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to Spyn or its infrastructure, or evade a suspension or block.
Every broadcast, recording, clip, chat message, and profile can be reported from inside the app. Reports go to a human. We aim to review reports within 24 hours, and we remove content that violates these terms and remove the accounts of people who repeatedly do.
You can also block another user from inside the app. Blocking hides their chat messages from you and stops them from interacting with you.
To report something you cannot reach in the app, email support@spyn.fm.
We are not obliged to monitor everything on the platform, and we do not pre-screen broadcasts. We may remove content or accounts at our discretion where we believe these terms have been broken.
Anything you hear or read on Spyn is the responsibility of the person who put it there, not of Spyn. Opinions expressed by hosts are theirs.
Spyn is under active development. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the service may be unavailable at times. Recordings are kept for the retention window shown in the app, and we are not responsible for content lost after that window — keep your own copy of anything you care about.
Some features may be paid in future. Prices and terms will be shown before you are charged, and purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are also governed by their terms and refund policies.
Spyn is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, Spyn is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost content, revenue, or profits; and our total liability to you will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months or one hundred United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
You may stop using Spyn and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. The sections that by their nature should survive — content licence for already-distributed copies, disclaimers, and liability limits — do.
We will update the date above when these change, and will say so in the app when a change is significant. Continuing to use Spyn after a change means you accept it.
